I just learned a few minutes ago about Mike's passing. Mike and I were roommates and teammates at ONU, and competed during our high school careers - I was at River Valley; Mike at Elgin. Mike was a groomsman in my wedding, and I think about him often but we lost touch over the years. Mike was such a sweet heart and happy guy.  He always brightened my day when he walked by my home with his dogs.  I will  miss his smiling face.  My condolences to the family; you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was a work colleague of Mike for over 20 years and he was one of the most genuine people I have ever known.  He was always sincere about his love of his family and was a good and caring friend.

My deepest sympathies to Terry, Stephanie, Lingo family and friends.  You remain in my daily thoughts and prayers.  I met Mike when his precious daughter was a student in my classroom.  Mike was such a kind, sweet person and a blessing to everyone he knew.

Very sad and shocked. Mike was a friend and colleague for 20 years. His wonderful sense of humor, knowledge of superheros and 007, and simple joy of life will be greatly missed. He shared withus his love of his family and pride in his daughter always.

I was deeply saddened by the news of Mike passing. Mike's intelligence, wit, and sincerity made him a wonderful human being.  Being a classmate from kindergarten through high school, he was one of those people which always made me feel good when he was around.  I had great respect for Mike because of the way he treated others and himself.

To the Lingo Family:  So sorry for your loss.  I knew Mike from high school and we graduated together.  He was always a nice guy.

My deepest sympathy to the whole Lingo family. My husband and I knew Mike from grade school on through high school. We grew up together in the same small town where classmates are like family and never forgotten, even when life takes them to another state. Now he's going to a better place and will still be remembered as a kind, caring and compassionate man. Heaven will shine brighter with his passage through Heaven's gate.

Mike was a very nice individual. I remember him in high school as very intelligent and good natured, with a good sense of humor. I graduated with him. I am so sorry for your loss.

Mike was a good boy and a very gentle man. He will be missed by all who knew him.  Growing up in LaRue he was a fixture jogging by mom and dads house. Always with a smile and a kind word.

These photos bring back so many happy memories that it's hard to know where to begin. The Lingos were our longtime neighbors and, despite our moving to a nearby town, our friendship is one that feels more like family--even though our busy schedules have kept us from seeing much of each other in recent years. Our three older children, especially our sons, considered Mike one of their first and best friends. His playfulness, compassion, genuine kindness, love of super heroes, and wonderful sense of humor made Mike a treasured role model for them and his death is a crushing blow for all of us. Please know we are always here for you, Terry and Stephanie.

I won't forget that smile and the many conversations I had with Mike when I worked at the lab.  He was one of a kind.  He loved his family and talked about them all the time.  He will be greatly missed.

There was not a more sincere person on this earth than Mike Lingo!  My deepest sympathies to his family.  I went to high school with Mike and we kept in touch periodically through email.  He always wanted to be updated on classmates.  He will be missed!
