

Norma was born in Alpena, MI on December 1, 1939, to the late Myrto and Olga Anderson. She married Dwight L. Quisenberry on January 27, 1962 at The Church of God in Alpena, MI.
Norma loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and grandkids and said she always wanted to be an exceptional Grandma, she was. Norma also loved using her voice to sing at church and other gatherings. She started singing in church choirs in her late teens and continued the rest of her life. She was a member at Okemos First Baptist Church for over 30 years where she also served as the Choir Director for 15 years and loved to sing solos and lead others in worship. She participated in the Sunday School and AWANA ministries as well as Women’s groups at the church. Norma loved to give gifts, she especially cherished the Christmas season with her family. She supported various mission organizations including the Lansing City Rescue Mission and Youth Haven Ranch as well as the Heart and Cancer Associations. She also worked as a secretary and Administrative Assistant for several organizations including the Natural Resources Conservation Service Plant Materials Center, the NRCS State office and the MI Education Assoc. In her early years she loved to fish with her dad and pick wild berries with her family. With her husband Dwight and the kids, she liked to go camping and take trips to the woods on the family property by Remus, MI. In her later years she loved traveling and being an antique dealer with Dwight, she particularly enjoyed cut glass antiques.
Norma is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Dwight L. Quisenberry; brother: Richard Anderson of Alpena, MI; children: David Dwight Quisenberry of Birmingham, MI, Luke Anderson Quisenberry (Laura) of Climax, MI Carrie Jean Quisenberry of Okemos, MI and Thomas James Quisenberry (Lasha) of Lansing, MI. She is also survived by her thirteen grandchildren: Aaricha Flowers(Jerry), Ryan VandenAkker, Justin VandenAkker; Katie Bernardini (Marco), Kyle Quisenberry, Sean Quisenberry (Kayla), Sarah Quisenberry, Christine Quisenberry, Cassie Quisenberry, Jessica Quisenberry, Joshua Quisenberry, Aaron Foster and Lexi Yates; and one great- grandchild: Aria Foster. Norma was preceded in death by her parents Myrto and Olga Anderson, her sisters Hazel and Donna and brothers Kenneth, Norman, Milton and Robert.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home East Lansing, 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing, MI.
