Born November 8, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan to Frank George and Millie Yost, passed away July 9, 2012 at the age of 85. Robert served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for the City of Detroit for over 38 years as an Assessor. Robert enjoyed cooking, gardening, bowling and playing golf.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Joann Demos; brother, Forrest Yost and sisters, Ruth Carpus and Muriel Stoddard. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Eileen; daughter, Leah (David) Hoadley; two grandchildren, Brennan and Sean Hoadley and sister, Betty Waldenmeyer.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 14, 2:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 4515 Dobie Road, Okemos, with the Pastor Jim Wenger officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Lansing.
