Austin Elliott Jr.

Austin Elliott was born May 19, 1942 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of Austin & Stella Loy Elliott Sr. He married Jeanetta Shults and later married Beckie Anderson.

He is survived by his wife Beckie; three daughters, Teri (Ken) Lynch of Dunlap, Kandi Nibbelin of Peoria, Kelli Elliott of East Peoria; one son Austin Elliott III of Spring Hill, FL; one step-son, Adam (Brooke) Nussbaum of Mapleton; two step-daughters, Gretchen (Dennis) Mahan of Mapleton, and Heidi Nussbaum of Morton; six sisters,Margie( Ben) Edwards, Wilma (Karl) Graves, Dottsie Kraft, Libby (Russ) Roffol, Janice Elliott, Sandy ( Bill) Ritter; one brother, Roger (Brenda) Elliott of Bartonville; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grand-children.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one son Mark Todd; one daughter, Toni Elliott; two sisters, Joyce and Becky and his beloved boxers, Bandit and Bugsy.

Austin owned and operated Central Upholstery for many years. He was an upholster for most of his life, with great pride. He was also known for his great pool playing, and being an avid Nascar fan. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 3, 2013 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Pastor Josh Beutow will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
