She was born on April 30, 1931 to George and Marcella (Stanton) Leitner in Bartonville, IL.
She is survived by her daughter Jodi (Greg) Peine, son Jim Holloway both of East Peoria, IL.; one brother Larry Leitner of Pekin, IL.; two nephews Ron Leitner, Randy (Leslie) Leitner, two grandnephews Luke and Tate, one grandniece Nicole all of Pekin, IL.; one granddaughter Janette (Steve Schauble) Horstmann of Dunlap, IL.; five great grandsons “Her Boys” Luke, Cole, Jack, Crew and Max;
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister in law Mary.
She worked as a Legal Secretary for Quinn, Johnston, Henderson, Pretorius and Cerulo, for 35 years before her retirement at the age of 85. She also sat on the Manual Alumni board for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bartonville.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 4:00p.m. - 6:00 p.m., at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Bartonville. Pastor Nick Jordan will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded, and inurnment will be held at a later date.
