Betty Jean Reinking

She was born September 9, 1931 in Secor, IL to John and Theda (Schroeder) Otten. She married Herman “Fred” Reinking in Benson, IL on May 1, 1955. He survives.

Also surviving is her daughter, Laura Howard of Creve Coeur; 2 sons, Mark (and Donna) of Pekin, Bruce of Texas; 3 grandchildren, Nicole Reinking, Daniel (and Kim) Reinking, Ryan (and Sarah) Howard; 4 great-grandchildren, Maddox Mathis, Carter and Dylan Howard, Ellie Reinking; and 3 sisters, Anna Pinkham of East Peoria, Linda Stromberger of Georgia, and Janice Hart of Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Betty graduated from Eureka High School. After marriage she devoted full time to domestic engineering and her family.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in East Peoria where funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013 with Rev. Kurt Mews officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with further visitation 12:30 until service time on Friday at the Church. Interment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
