Born November 17, 1927 in Shelbyville, Tenn. to Robert and Webbie (Prince) Gannon; he married JoAnn Donovan on March 19, 1950 in Rossville, GA. She preceded him in death June 17, 2006 in East Peoria.
Surviving are his children, Charles M. (Susan) Gannon Jr, of Port St. Joe, FL and Mark (Prenda) Gannon of Morton; 4 grandchildren, Matthew (Lindsay), Megan, Alyse and Ashley Gannon; one sister, Dorothy (Floyd) Isbell of Huntsville, Ala; and one niece Brenda (Jack) MeGinniss.
Charles worked at Caterpillar Inc. retiring in 1991 after 40 years.
He was a veteran of the US Air Force and Air Force Reserves.
Graveside services will be 11:00 am Saturday, November, 14, 2015 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Shelbyville, Tenn.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Unity Point Methodist Hospice.
