Gerald Dwayne McCloud

He was born in Peoria on April 19, 1947 to Joseph and Ruth (Willard) McCloud. He married Meta (Tina) Fromm on February 12, 1969. They celebrated 51 years of marriage.

She preceded him in death along with his parents, two brothers, Floyd and Edward McCloud and one son, Frank Fromm Jr.

Gerald retired as a Laborer for several Caterpillar, Inc. manufacturing plants in the Peoria area. He enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards and liked to gamble.

He traveled to many states and in his younger years he traveled to Wisconsin to fish with his family. He was very thoughtful, kind hearted and would often quietly help people in need. He had a great sense of humor. He was also an avid hockey and St. Louis Cardinals Fan. He recently took up the hobby of baking treats for his children.

He is survived by his sister, Beverly Hash; brother, Dan (Kim) McCloud; daughters, Linda (Randy) Hadsell, Cindy (Jerry) McGuire; sons, Rick (Julie) Fromm and Scott (Kelly) Fromm; ex son-in-law, Bruce Conger. He had 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom he loved.

He will be greatly missed.
