Harold was born August 28, 1932 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Raymond Harvey and Mary Lucy Mader Peckenpaugh . He married Doris Fryer on December 15, 1956.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years; his children, Harold “Duane” Peckenpaugh of Washington, and Tina Clendenin of East Peoria; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother, Lyle Peckenpaugh of Oregon; three sisters, Dorothy Kelso of East Peoria, Jean (Chet) Elsey of Washington, and Geri (Walt) Kelso of Missouri.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister and two brothers.
Harold worked as a dock worker at Service Transportation and later at Zeller Mental Health until his retirement in 1995.
Cremation rites will be accorded according to his wishes.
Memorials may be made to The Heart Association or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
