Helen E. Murray

Helen was born August 23, 1933 in Shawneetown, Illinois the daughter of Bedford & Ora Jackson Roberts. She married Thomas Murray on November 28, 1953 in Shawneetown, IL. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2003 in Peoria.

She is survived by her children,Diane (Jon) Adkins , and Thomas (Sherry) Murray both of Peoria; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Helen was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.

She worked at OSF St. Francis Medical Center as an X-ray Transport for thirty years before her retirement.

Helen enjoyed baking, playing cards, and loved puzzles, but most of all she enjoyed seeing her grandchildren.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be Wednesday Evening from 5:00- 7:00 p.m. also at the funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Lashley will officiate.

Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
