James E. Kelly

He was born Jan. 8, 1949 in Cordova, AL to Noah Delton and Estell (Revis) Kelly. He married Victoria A. Fianza April 19, 1972 in Peoria.

She survives along with James’ mother, Estell Cooper of Vernon, AL, one daughter, Michelle (Breck) Lane of East Peoria, one son, Jeff Kelly of Creve Coeur, two granddaughters: Madelynne and Gabrielle Lane of East Peoria, one brother, William (Pamela) Kelly of Detroit, AL, and numerous nieces and nephews.

James was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1969 through 1972. He was a machinist for Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years retiring in 1998. Following his retirement from Caterpillar Jim was employed at The Wingate by Wyndham in Peoria.

He was an avid woodworker and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Funeral services will be Saturday Feb. 2, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery in Morton.

Memorials may be made to the family to help with medical expenses.
