He was born on July 7, 1952 in Sikeston, MO to Welton and Ora Lee (Abbott) LaValle. He married Judy Hudson on July 10, 1991 in East Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are his two daughters, Jamie (Dave) Smith II of North Pekin and Shannon Blackburn of Kissimmee, FL; three step-children, Chet Hudson of East Peoria, Paul (Angie) Hudson Jr of Pekin, and Todd (Carrie Leathers) Hudson of East Peoria; three siblings, Virginia (Ray) Adams of Peoria, Audry LaValle of Lewistown, and Robert LaValle of East Peoria; twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
J.B. worked for the Street Department with the City of East Peoria, retiring as a Foreman in 2007 and was a member of the Teamster Union Local 627. He enjoyed restoring old cars, going to car shows, running machinery, traveling and spending time in nature. J.B. will be remembered as a loving Husband, father and family man, who enjoyed spending time with his loved ones.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 24, 2024 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria.
