

He was born February 21, 1935 to John R. and Idell (Krempp) Koestner in Peoria. He married Neva J. Gray in Pekin on June 4, 1960, she survives.
Jack is also survived by his three daughters and one son, Janice (Bill) Heaver of Pekin, Cindy (Ray) Koeppel of East Peoria, Tracy Hopkins of East Peoria and Bryan (Tina) of Mesa, Arizona; three sisters, Mary Bleichner of Hanna City, Judy (Vern) Baker of Mesa, Arizona, and Sally (Dalton) Larson of East Peoria; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Sandra Koestner and one brother, Kenneth Koestner.
Jack was an incredible, loving, kind man who was a role model for all. He truly lived life to its fullest and enjoyed being with his family always being the entertainment. He has touched so many lives and helped so many people when he knew they were in need.
He loved to travel, designing, creating, building, artistry, photography, fishing and golfing. But most of all, he loved his family and spending time together with them. Jack was a veteran serving in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959.
Jack was a sales manager at Carver Lumber Garage Department for 22 years, and sales manager at Handy Andy and Affiliated Lumber Garage Department. He also kept himself busy working as a Realtor for Century 21.
Jack and Neva spent their winters in Mesa, Arizona for 17 years after retiring. He was a member of the New Life Church.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Quail Meadows Golf Course, East Peoria.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jack's name to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
