

She was born December 3, 1920, in Roanoke, Illinois to Carl and Marie Woltzen Klumpp. She married Willard "Red" Paluska on April 11, 1941, in Roanoke, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2002.
Joyce was a graduate of Roanoke High School and a graduate of Brown's Business College in Peoria, Illinois.
She worked for the Girl Scouts of America Peoria Council, was an office administrator for the Superintendent and Board of Education of Richwoods High School, and an office administrator for the President and Board of Regents of Illinois Central College.
She and her husband enjoyed traveling, especially in Europe and Central Asia, and following their grandchildren in all their activities and locations.
Joyce had been a resident of Ottumwa since 2002.
Surviving are two sons, Roger C. (Maxine) Paluska of Quincy, Illinois and Dr. Gerald M. Paluska of Ottumwa; five grandchildren, Kimberly A. (Chris) Larson of Quincy, Illinois, Jeffrey S. (Danielle) Paluska of Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, Elizabeth M. "Libby" (Lorenzo Cussigh) Paluska of New York, New York, Captain John M. (Jessica) Paluska of Tacoma, Washington, and Mary K. Paluska of Chicago, Illinois; six great-grandchildren, Kelsey L. Larson and Cooper C. Larson, both of Quincy, Illinois, Madelyn D. Paluska, Joel M. Paluska and Brynn C. Paluska, all of Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, and Camilla B. Cussigh of New York, New York; and two sisters-in-law, Twyla and Evelyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 12, at Remmert Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the American Mausoleum in Peoria, Illinois, at a later date.
