Lisa Carol (Fuller) Closen, age 55, of Mapleton, Illinois entered eternal rest to join many of her beloved family members in heaven on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. She passed away at OSF Richard L. Owen Hospice Home in Peoria, Illinois.
She was born September 16, 1968 in Peoria to Gerald “Jerry” Martin and Judy Carol (Rose) Fuller. She married Brad Leroy Closen on May 30, 2015 in Peoria.
She is survived by her husband, Brad; her father, Jerry; her only sister, Heather Rose Fuller; her son, Jerrid C. (Morgan) Fuller; her daughters, Jenna C. (Caleb) Oswald and Jessica Damron; step children, Ryan (Paige) Closen, Kristy (TJ) Mercurio, Alyssa (Shane) Nebel, and Allie Carter; her grandchildren, Rozalynn, Brooks, Emersyn, Kaileb, Brantley, Landon, Rhylie, Payton, Karson, Cailey, and Connor; her niece, Jocelyn Taylor, and nephews, Gerrit Taylor and Griffin Taylor; brothers-in-laws, BJ (Susan) Closen, Brian Closen, and Bruce (Rebecca) Closen; and aunts, cousins, and many friends who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Judy; her maternal grandparents, Collins Branum and Clarice Marie Rose; and one nephew, Jordan Branum Michael White.
Lisa went to East Peoria Community High School and attended Illinois State University, where she graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor’s Degree Major in History and Minor in Political Science. She worked in many sales positions, the first being a Pharmaceutical Representative for AstraZeneca, and the most recent being a Territory Manager in flooring sales for COREtec Floors. She put her all into her work and was thought highly of by all her clients throughout her many years in sales.
She was passionate about many hobbies which included gardening, crafting, and fishing. Anyone who knew her knew that her biggest joy in the world came from spoiling her grandchildren and those she cared about. She will be cherished and missed dearly.
Her funeral will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Pastor Steve Weber will officiate. A visitation will be at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, April 30 at Remmert Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria alongside her mother, whom she wanted to spend the rest of eternity with.
Memorials may be made to Morton Community Bank c/o Jenna Oswald towards a trust for her grandchildren, whom she loved so dearly.
