Michael Craig Harmon

Michael was born on December 12, 1952 in Peoria to Keith and Jackie (Edwards) Harmon.

Michael is survived by his sister, Karen (Brian) Tyler of East Peoria, IL; two nieces, Jenny (Terry) Grena of Hopewell Estates, IL and Cassie Nighsonger of Chicago, IL; and one nephew, Jared (Cindy) Nighsonger of Henry, IL. He is also survived by his host family, with whom Michael had made his home with for the last eight years, Roger Crowden and Bob Melchin of Peoria, IL and for the last six weeks he made his home with, Linda Raydon of Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Becky Nighsonger and his infant brother, Keith, Jr.

Michael attended EPIC in Peoria where he did computer and data entry work He also attended Laramie Street Baptist Church. He loved to listen to music, watch old westerns and football, and he loved going on trips with his friends from EPIC.

Services will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 11am at Remmert Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Jeremie Davis will be officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services and interment will be held at a later date at Spring Bay Cemetery. Memorials may be made to EPIC.
