Nancy C. Sundstrom, age 80, of East Peoria, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 1:57 a.m. at Riverview Health Care in East Peoria.
She was born Aug. 25, 1937 in Peoria to Fred and Mildred (Minger) Nash. She first married James Nacarato in 1960 in California. She later married Fred Sundstrom July 30, 1966 in Peoria. He passed away Aug. 15, 2012 in North Fort Myers, FL. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one son, Tony (Carol) Nacarato of Peoria, one daughter, Gina Dunphy of Peoria, two grandchildren: Daniah (Dan) Robb of Peoria, Gabriela (Jeremy) Gillespie of Washington, and nine great-grandchildren: Jaxen, Parker, Gabriel, Vayda, Miles, Isabelle, Jet, Beckam, Tanner.
Nancy was an Educator in Los Angeles, CA, Dist. 150, and later Mossville School.
She was a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in North Fort Myers, and the Mossville United Methodist Church. While living in Florida, she enjoyed aqua aerobics, traveling with Fred, line and tap dancing, and was an avid reader.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. till services at 11.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the Vitas Hospice Program.
