Patsy J. Hurst

She was born April 22, 1953 in Peoria to Robert and Dora (Gordon) Brown. She first married David Aleshire. She later married Robert “Chuck” Hurst on May 10, 1993 in Las Vegas. He passed away June 27, 1998 in Peoria. She is also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Sammy and Bob Brown.

Survivors include two sons: Brent Aleshire of East Peoria, Jonas Aleshire of Forest City, IL, two grandchildren: Ryleigh Aleshire and Lucas Sanders both of Forest City, one brother, Ed Brown of Texas, one sister, Paula (David) Miller of Texas, and three step-brothers: Ron Rhodes of Texas, Robert Rhodes of Pekin, and Lowell Rhodes of Southern Illinois.

Patsy was a Deaf Interpreter for District 150 and was also a Teachers Aid.

She was a member of Riverside Community Church in Peoria, a member of the Deaf Church, and also a member of the Court Appointed Special Volunteer. Patsy enjoyed volunteering and helping others when she could. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.

Burial will be in Sand Ridge Cemetery in East Peoria near Spring Bay.

Memorials may be made to the Riverside Community Church or the TRC-Deaf Ministries in Princeville.
