

Rich was born on Saturday, December 23, 1939 in Nokomis, IL to Ernest and Anna (Dapoz) Zueck. He married Lana Huff on Saturday, February 22, 1969 and she preceded him in death in April of 1986. Also preceding him in death are his parents; his brother, Eugene Zueck; and one nephew, Steven Zueck.
Surviving are his children, Eric (Amber)Zueck of Creve Coeur, IL and Sheryl (Jerry) Zueck Clancy of Mapleton, IL.
Rich served in the U.S. Air Force form 1962 to 1966 and later worked for Caterpillar in Mossville for 30 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Pekin Moose Lodge # 916 and the Pekin Eagle's Club. Rich enjoyed, fishing, gardening and woodworking, target shooting, working with his model airplanes and boats and spending time with his family. He was an avid bowler and was a member of both the Greater Pekin and Peoria Bowling Associations. Rich was also a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals and Rams fan and Illini sports fan.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 1pm at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with Chaplain Jim Gorby officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 from 5pm to 7pm also at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
