He was the son of Ronnie L. and Mary (Oney) Stolba, born on September 30, 1970 in Peoria. He lived all of his 50 years in the same home with his parents. He graduated from East Peoria High School in the class of 1989.
Rodney is survived by his parents Ronnie and Mary of East Peoria; sister, Julie (Frank) Elser of East Peoria; and two nephews, Walker and Blaine, who he cherished. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends. Once you were Rodney's friend, you were always his friend.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Wallace and Esther Oney and Rudolph and Norma Stolba, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was a hardworking man and always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed family, family reunions, class reunions, country concerts, hunting, fishing, driving antique John Deere tractors in local parades with his dad, and watching his cousin and his cousin's son drive in stock car races. He last worked at Quikrete in South Pekin, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Steve Weber will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Remmert Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 PM, and also one hour before the funeral. Interment will take place at Fondulac Cemetery.
