Ronald Eugene Moberly

Ron was born on August 27, 1936 in Eureka, IL to the late Eugene Moberly and Minnie Blumenstock. He married Janet (Coltrin) Moberly on January 9, 1957. They spent many years together until her passing on May 27, 2022.

He enlisted in the United States Army on February 16, 1955. He honorably served for 4 years.

He worked at Caterpillar as a Machinist for 35 years until he retired. After that, he delivered for Dental Arts and he retired from there after 26 years.

Ron was a member of the Peoria Motorcycle Club. His favorite place in the world was his garage, where he would work on his rat rod, which he worked on for over 20 years. His friends would say he had legendary Halloween parties, with decorations and festivities for friends and family.

He is survived by his children, Ron (Andrea) Moberly, Jr., Cheryl Foster, Ray Moberly, and Amy (Brandon) Vermillion; his grandchildren; his great grandchildren; and his great great grandchildren.

He is preceded by his parents, and his wife, Janet.

A Visitation in honor of Ron will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Remmert Funeral Home from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. A Graveside service will be directly after at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria, IL.
