He was born October 28, 1947 in Stamford, CT to Aubrey and Mary (Hussey) Eads, who preceded him in death. He married Sandra Riggins on September 17, 2011 in Marrow, GA. and she survives.
Also surviving is his son, Thomas Eads Jr. of Washington; two grandchildren, Jessica Eads of East Peoria and Nicholas Eads of Pekin; two sisters, Ellen (Dick) Tibbs of Carlock and Patti (Marty) Fay of Port Orange, FL; one aunt, Eileen MacCaughrn of CT; one niece, Corrie Tibbs of Carlock and one nephew, Sean Tibbs of El Paso.
Thomas served in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked for Caterpillar Inc. for many years. He was also the owner of Three Point Tap in San Jose, IL. He later moved to Georgia and worked as a Maintenance Manger before retiring and moving back to Illinois. Thomas was a former member and union representative for the UAW Local 974. He enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as traveling to see the mountains in Georgia. He will be remembered as a man with a big heart, who was always willing to help others.
Cremation will be accorded and a celebration of life will be on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 2 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Burial of the urn will be at a later date at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
