Velvet Sonya (Montgomery) Ogle

She was born on August 13, 1961 in Newport, Arkansas to Terry Leon and Mary Josephine (Moore) Montgomery. They preceded her in death along with two brothers, Louis Andrew Montgomery and John Allie Montgomery; one granddaughter, Serenity Velvet Barnett; and one niece Brenda Lee Jack.

Velvet married the love of her life, Donald R. Ogle on July 10, 1999. He survives. Also surviving is one son, Zachary B. Montgomery; two daughters, Dawn R. (Carl) Ogle and Angela K. (Danny) Agee; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Terry Belinda (Charles) Hanson, Angela Jean (Ron) Moore and Shari (Darin) Hamilton.

Velvet graduated from East Peoria High School in 1979 and worked several different jobs, but devoted her life to raising and taking care of her family.

Private family graveside services will be held. Pastor Jack Thompson will officiate.

Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
