

He was born October 5, 1937 to Bill and Bonnie (Beasley) Yemm in Alton, Illinois. He was married to Vivian O’dell on March 8, 1958, she preceded him in death on April 21, 2016.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Bonnie as well as his brothers, James and Harry.
He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Yemm and their grand dogs, Peanut and Rascal.
Bill was well liked by everyone who knew him. He was known to have a love for animals, raising ducklings and even a monkey in his youth. He had an education in music and played the piano. He was known to be a stubborn, hard headed, yet wonderful man that was a hard worker through and through.
He retired from Caterpillar after 35 years and continued to run their antique store ‘Unique Gizmos’ until his passing. He loved to travel, especially along the east coast and Maine where they would do antique shows. He would even help write books on antiques.
He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be held Monday, March 31, 2024 at Remmert Funeral Home, East Peoria at 11 a.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will conclude at Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
