Eva Mae Brown

Eva Mailey Brown, age 97, formerly of East Point, GA passed away on June 3, 2012. Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her parents, John & Besie Mailey; husband, Astor Brown; son, Royce Brown; three brothers and two sisters. Those left to cherish her memory include sons, John Robert Brown (Minerva), Telford Brown (Mary Ann), J.D. Brown, Harry Brown (Brenda) and Larry Brown (Anne); daughter, Gloria Sims; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and daughter-in-law, Miriam Brown.

Mrs. Brown was a dedicated wife, mother and entrepreneur; owning and working at the Beauty Nook on Jefferson Ave. in East Point before moving it to Washington Rd. After much persuasion from family, she finally retired at the age of 85. Services honoring, Mrs. Brown’s life will held Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 11:30 am at the Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church with the family accepting friends from 9:30-11:30am. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Gardens in Forest Park, GA.
