Professor Bethke was the best. Art helped me with my resume in 1976 and I use the same format today. He was demanding from his students. A real class teacher.

Though we didn't have Art long, he touched a lot of lives here.  He was always ready, with his wonderful smile, to lend a hand and to give of himself.  He was a kind and gentle soul, and I, and many others, will miss him immensely. My sincere sympathy to his family in their loss.

So sorry to hear about Dr. Bethke...Great professor for me at ULM followed by becoming a great friend during our early morning workouts at Moore Fitness in Monroe.  I trust all his family knows how great a man he was!

Chris, Kelly, and family.  Knew Art and your Mother for a number of years through Trinity here in Monroe and served on committees with Art.  He was a great guy and a pleasure to know.  It is always tough to lose a parent and know you will miss him dearly.  We missed him and his humor when he moved away to be near you.  Our sincere condolences to you and your family. Dr. Bethke was my first and only academic adviser at NLU (now ULM) throughout my undergraduate studies and he retired the same year I graduated.  Because of his genuine interest in the completion of my degree program, I developed a tremendous amount of respect for this terrific man and educator.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

I knew Art from Moore's Health and Fitness in Monroe, LA.  He was a fine man and a good friend.  The "boys" from Moore's saw him last at a going-away lunch for him.  We missed him when he moved to TN and I know you all will miss him greatly.

So very sorry for your loss.  Art was such a terrific guy and asset to the community, ULM, Trinity Lutheran Church and any place he happened to be.  So many fond memories.  May God comfort you.  You are in our prayers.

It had been my pleasure to know Art for the past couple of years.  His cheerful demeanor and love of life was really special.  He was a great guy and will really be missed by those of us who have grown to know and love him.  Art and I loved to talk about our children and grandchildren.  He loved you very much.

I went to school with Arthur from first grade to graduation.  I was so sorry to hear of his passing.  He and my husband had been friends in high school as well.  We have had him in our prayers since shortly after his diagnosis, and will continue to keep you in our prayers now.  Albert and Mary Wallace Cusick.

I have know the entire Bethke family my entire life.  I know they will sadly miss Art and Mary Ellen.  Art, his mother and Jerry would walk me to VBS in Sedalia, Mo. every summer, and back home again.   I graduated h.s. wth Mary Ellen.  Gods blessings to each and everyone.  With deepest sympathy.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family in their time of loss. May you experience the grace and peace of God in the days to come.

I knew Art only these last two years. I found his always ready to talk and discuss all that was going on in his life as well as mine. He was always upbeat and a pleasant to talk with. I will miss this friend very much.

Dr. Bethke was a big influence in my life.  He was so approachable and just a great guy and educator.  Sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family.  May he rest in peace.

Art was a great guy and a person who always had a great zest for life.  I knew him all through grade school and high school, and was so sorry to learn of his passing.  Sincere sympathy is extended to all of his family. Many share your loss.
