

David Aaron Ingram, Sr., 85 of Chattanooga passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 with his family by his side. Aaron was born October 4, 1935 in Spring Garden, Alabama, the fourth of five children of the late George and Maude Ingram. He was preceded in death by siblings, Martha, George and Elizabeth.
Aaron grew up in Piedmont, Alabama and graduated from Piedmont High School where he met his wife, Janice. They moved to Chattanooga in 1964. Through his hard work and determination, Aaron became the proud owner of Ingram Concrete Finishing Company. His company laid concrete for iconic Chattanooga structures including the UTC Round House, Marriot Hotel, the Krystal Building and a number of projects at the McCallie School and GPS.
Aaron’s children, grandchildren and wife were the pride and joy of his life. The legacy of his kind-hearted spirit, his passion for Alabama Football and the Yankees from listening to the games on the radio as a child, his love of gardening and zest for life will live on through them. Aaron was the most giving, compassionate, selfless person who loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Ingram; children, Anne (Terry) Baugh, Laurie Stephens and David (Sarah) Ingram, Jr. He was a beloved Granddad to his four grandchildren, Bradley Stephens, Hannah Stephens, Andrew Ingram and Daniel Ingram. Survivors also include his youngest sister, Janet.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Friday at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. The family will receive friends from 9 – 10:30 AM Friday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
