Dorothy L. Richey

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lou Ella (Morton) Loggins and was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne H Richey, seven brothers, Arthur Loggins (infant), Lawrence Loggins, Frank Loggins, Gene Loggins, Joe Loggins Jr., Earl Ladd, Sneed Ladd and four sisters, Gladys (Loggins) Good, Ernestine (Loggins) Bishop, Marie (Ladd) Bradford, and Ruby (Ladd) Adcock.

Dorothy and her late husband Wayne were the owners of the Richey Motel in Lookout Valley for 30 years. She volunteered with Red Cross and Memorial Hospital. She loved cooking and sharing her new recipes.

She was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church most of her life. She was a faithful follower of Christ.

She is survived by two brothers, Ira Loggins of Death Velley CA, Woodrow Loggins of Wamic, OR, sister, Sarah (Loggins) Plymesser of San Bernardino, CA , and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Oakwood Baptist Church, 4501 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416, with Rev. Ken Clark and Rev. Willard Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Harrison Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at the church.
