Eleanor Lewis Coffee, 77, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2020 with her husband by her side. Eleanor was born in Ooltewah, TN on November 16, 1942. She graduated Ooltewah High School in 1961. She worked at Tennessee Valley Authority for 26 years and retired as Budget Officer in 1996. Eleanor was a loving wife, mother, and friend to many. She enjoyed photography, travel and reading. As an amateur photographer, she won the Tennessee State Photography Championship.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Hazel Lewis, sister, Glenda Foy, and her brothers, David and Eddie Lewis.
Eleanor is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy; a son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Sonja Coffee; and a daughter Sherri Coffee, and a brother and his wife Robert and Jeannette Lewis.
A private family service will be held in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor Wayland Stewart officiating.
