

Ellen Liner King, 62, a native of Chattanooga, passed away on January 2, 2016, surrounded by family and friends. She was born to Bill and Lillian Liner on October 1, 1953, was a graduate of East Ridge High School, and was a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church.
After working in the dental field for many years, Ellen became a nanny for several of her friends’ preschool children, a job which she loved. A huge animal lover, she also was involved in local pet rescue and care.
Ellen was preceded in death by her father, Bill Liner, and is survived by her beloved son, Jordan (Katie) King; granddaughter Lillian Parker (Lola) King; mother, Lillian Liner Linn; brother Chip (Judy) Liner plus several nieces and nephews.
The family extends heartfelt thanks for the excellent medical care that Ellen received in the last month. Thanks to: Dr. Richard Morrison and Memorial Hospital staff; Dr. Tom Devlin and Erlanger Hospital staff; and LifeCare of Ooltewah.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 4, 2016, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East. A Celebration of Ellen King’s Life will be Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 11:00 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or McKamey Animal Center.
