Mr. Jennings was a member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a World War II Army Veteran serving in the South Pacific. Mr. Jennings loved fishing and especially going to Florida fishing. He enjoyed cooking and baking bread. His specialty was rolls for Sunday dinners with his family. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years Mary Jennings; daughters Lynette (Ed, deceased) Crowe, Elaine (Edward) Ross and Jane (Larry) Sewell; five grandchildren Shelley Williams, Jeff Crowe, Scott Ross, Kelley Weathers and Eric Sewell; nine great grandchildren Zachary Quintrell, Ian Crowe, Levi Crowe, Parker Jennings Ross, Paxton Ross, Hayden Sewell, Aubrey Sewell, Madelyn Weathers and Abbey Weathers.
The family will receive friends at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 5-7 Monday evening.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday June 19, 2012 at 10:00 am at Forest Hills Cemetery.
