Mr. Nation was born and raised in Chattanooga. He was retired as a truck driver with 53 years of service. Harold was also a US Navy WWII veteran and a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Steve and Ricky Nation.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Samie B. Nation; daughter, Lesley Paseur; son-in-law, Earl W. Pence; stepdaughter, Theresa Padgett; stepson, Frank Padgett; grandchildren, Dawn, Steven, Brian Nation, Stenen and Chance Poe, Richard, Dillon, Shandi, Brandon, Bradley and Daniel Nation; daughter-in-law, Ylonna Nation; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 1 PM on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at the funeral home with Rev. Ken Sauer officiating.
Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
