James Eugene Dillard, 85, of East Ridge, passed away May 31, 2019. Born on April 1, 1934 in Chattanooga TN and worked till retirement with Combustion Engineering. Mr. Dillard was a member of Bible Way Baptist Church. Mr. Dillard loved to fish and play softball for Combustion and his church.
His wife of 53 years Leilla Casteel Dillard along with his father, Johnie Dillard, mother Sarah Dillard, brother Johnie M. Dillard, father-in-law and mother-in-law Sam and Fannie Casteel, brothers-in-law R L Casteel, Wendell Casteel, sister-in-law Sandra Oakley all preceded him in death.
Survivors include sons, James L. (Connie) Dillard, Randall E. Dillard, Darrell E. Dillard, brothers, Jerry (Michelle) Dillard, Juan (Suzanne) Dillard, sister-in-law Jean Rogers, brothers-in-law Garland (Ruby) Casteel, Lewis Casteel, Farrell Casteel, Norman Casteel, Steve (Kathy) Casteel, grandchildren, Jessica (Josh) Lewis, Jennifer (Jordan) Morrison, greatgrandchildren Corbin and Audrey Lewis, Porter and Jack Morrison and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday June 5 and noon to 2:00 pm Thursday June 6 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Chip Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bible Way Baptist Church, 2502 Lakeview Drive, Rossville GA 30741.
