Jessie Catherine Henley, 89, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 14, 2017. She was born in Mentone, AL and moved to Chattanooga where she met her loving husband of 32 years. She enjoyed gardening and also the traditional Friday family nights with her family. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Edwin Henley, parents John Paul and Nettie Smith, sisters Lavona Cooper, Dorothy Gray, Geraldine Ellis, and brother Ernest Smith.
Survivors include her three daughters, Cathy Duffy (David), Donna Robbs (Ron), Terri Kay (Jim); grandchildren Chris (Taylor) and Cory Robbs, Rachel and Lauren Kay, Ben Duffy; great-grandchild, Easton Edwin Robbs; brothers, John Paul Smith, Jr., Guy “Squeak” Smith, and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 pm Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
