Julia Johnson Black, 71, of Chattanooga passed away Monday, January 5, 2026. She was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church. Julia retired in 2020 as a clerical worker at Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery after 25 years.
Survivors include her husband, George Black; sons, Aaron Amyx and Jason Amyx; stepsons, Matt Black, Chad Black and Jerry Black; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Sherilyn Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Wednesday and from 10 – 11 AM Thursday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be private.
