Kay Moyer Huggins

Kay Moyer Huggins, born on November 10, 1956, passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 69. She was a devoted and kind-hearted woman, known for her adventurous spirit and thoughtful nature. Kay was a compassionate and generous individual, always honest and inspirational to those around her.

Kay's career was marked by her adaptability and resilience. She began as a real estate professional, then spent 17 years as a board-certified music therapist. She concluded her career in promotional sales, selling products with company logo designs. In retirement, Kay enjoyed traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, riding horses, and participating in the SOS small group.

Kay is survived by her loving spouse of 35 years, Barry Huggins. She leaves behind her son, Michael (Morgan) Huggins, and cherished grandchildren, Elaina and Archie Huggins. Kay is also survived by her brother, Tom Moyer, and sister, Cheryl Chance. Her nephews, Matthew (Sherry) Moyer, Wesley (Lauren) Moyer, and Brad (Erica) Chance, niece, Amy (Cody) Maxwell, and great-nephews and nieces, Ryan, Isaac, Gracie, Hope, Mason, Melissa, Mackenzie, and Maisy, will remember her fondly.

Kay and Barry were active members of The Chapel in Cleveland, Tennessee, and she was deeply involved in her small group, SOS, Sisters of the Son. Her faith was a guiding light, and she was known for her ability to brighten any room and offer encouragement to those in need.

A visitation will be held at Chattanooga Funeral Home-East Chapel, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN, on Saturday November 29, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm.

Kay believed in the power of connection and the strength it brings, as reflected in her favorite scripture, Proverbs 27:17: "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." Her legacy of faithfulness and encouragement will continue to inspire all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kay's memory may be made to the Proverbs 31 Ministry or The Chapel in Cleveland, Tennessee.
