Larry E. Newman

Mr. Newman was born and raised in Chattanooga, graduated from Kirkman High School Class of 1971, and was a member of Rossville Church of Christ. He was currently employed at Walmart as an Assistant Manager and had worked at various other grocery stores in Chattanooga.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert B. Newman; and sister, Roberta Kirk.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Susan C. Newman; children, Rachel (Eric) Cabrera, Amanda Newman, Michael Newman and Lacey Newman; four grandchildren, Hope Newman, and Jordan, Lauren and Shane Cabrera; mother, Norma Bedwell; brothers, James and Robert Newman; sister, Robin Patton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home and from 1 to 2 PM on Thursday at the church.

Funeral Services will be at 2 PM on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Rossville Church of Christ (1100 McFarland Avenue, Rossville, GA. 30741) with Minister Jack James officiating.

Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens West.

Memorial donations may be made to Rossville Church of Christ – Food Pantry.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Hearth Hospice for the wonderful care given during the final months of his life.
