Lucy Elizabeth Dickson, 79, of Ringgold, GA, passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2020. A retired Hamilton County School teacher, she taught math at East Ridge High School for 38 years. She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Chattanooga High School and The University of Chattanooga. She had a love of animals, especially Cocker Spaniels, and was a member of the Chattanooga Kennel Club, the Obedience Club of Chattanooga, and the Cocker Spaniel Club of Chattanooga. Over the years, she shared her life with many Cocker Spaniels that she enjoyed training in obedience, earning several titles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.B. Dickson, her brother, Paul Dickson, a sister Libby Paulson, and a nephew Ted Howard III. Survivors include her sisters Pauline Howard and Glenda Dickson, sister-in-law Ruth Dickson, and nieces and nephews Laura Howard, Corinne, Jake, and Alex Paulson. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Chapel.
