Mrs. Brown retired from the State of Tennessee where she worked at the main office on McCallie Street and had previously worked for the Department of Corrections at the CCSC. She was also a member of the Chattanooga Rock and Mineral Club and the Birchwood Senior Neighbors.
Surviving are her two sons, Jimmy and Timothy Brown; grandson, Paul Harmon; brother, James (Nancy) Williams; and sister, Jo Ann (Donald) McDaniel.
Visitation and services will be private.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist. 404 South Moore Road.
