Margaret Smith Johnson

Margaret Smith Johnson, 92, of East Ridge, TN passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022. She was a member of Spring Creek Road Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Margaret loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Johnson; parents Louise and Boyd Smith; brother, Boyd Smith, Jr. and grandson, Wade Westbrook.

Survivors include her children, Marsha (John) Keener, Martha (Roger) Westbrook and Terry (Gail) Johnson; four grandchildren, Craig Keener, Shawn (Penny) Johnson, Shea (Kim) Johnson and Shannan (Jeremy) Hayes; eight great-grandchildren; special cousin, Judy Woodall.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Riverdale Health Group and caregivers, Eva Lopez and Henriette Diop.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Saturday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Carl Hubbert officiating. Burial will be in Lomenick Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.

The family respectfully requests that COVID-19 protocols be adhered to during the visitation and funeral service, including social distancing and proper face covering.
