I made it best friend! Class night is tomorrow and baccalaureate is Sunday and my graduation is next Thursday I love you and hope your looking down and proud

I love you and I can’t believe you’ve been gone for 4 years this is crazy… I miss you so so much… you meant the world to me and it’s so hard for me to move on. You were my happiness and joy. I know you promised to be at my graduation so this picture is for you since you couldn’t make it. Please watch over me when I have this big accomplishment. Be there for me. Watch over me the rest of my life please

This lady helped me conquer my math fears and helped my love of Creedance Clearwater Revival.  They do not make teachers like Ms. Stephen's any longer.   This kind Soul will be truly missed.

Mary… I can’t believe you’ve been gone pretty much 2 years it feels just like yesterday it happened and it hasn’t gotten any easier I know your watching down over me and proud but it hurts I miss you so dearly… but I know your in a better place I’ll see you again but it’s so hard to go on I love you best friend keep watching over me Mary..

I remember when we would talk every day, you were my true best friend I would talk to you multiple times a day and I was the last you talked to I loved you dearly Mary I’ve cried out so many times for you RIP fly high until we meet again have fun with Jesus! 🥺👼✝️

Some things in this world are considered facts, and are not very disputable. This woman was one of the kindest and good natured human beings that we have ever had. 

Of all of my teachers and instructors, only a handful taught me how to think and to use and apply what I was learning. I learned a great deal from her in Geometry and Algebra (and how to apply it). When I asked questions, she always helped me,… but, she would say “you need to use your noggin, the good Lord gave it to you for a reason”.  She would try to refer to a real life use for the problem and its solution. That always led to understanding. More teachers need to be like her. She helped people, even if she didn’t have to. 

She was involved in LFO events through the years, and always remembered her students. She was a truly good person, and will be missed.

I grew up with her twin brothers from Lakeview High  School. Then, I had the privilege of teaching with her at LFO. 
Mary was also one of my Delta Kappa Gamma sisters. Mary was always willing to serve others, and so giving of herself.

Mary was a true friend. She was my calculus teacher my senior year. She attended all school events. She even came to the 30th Reunion of the Class of ‘87. She danced the night away with us. She will be missed. 

She was the most caring person I have ever known.   She was the head of the Math Department at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School when I was hired as a Math teacher there in 1984.  We were instant friends.  She taught my daughter, Rebecca Martin, and  my son, Brian Martin.  She never failed to honor them by attending every event they were ever in whether school or church.  She was one of my dearest friends and I will miss her very much.
