

Mildred Risley Hundt, 94, of East Ridge died Tuesday, July 15, 2014. She was born December 31, 1919 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, daughter of the late Edward Risley and Mabyan Parker Talley. She was preceded in death by her husband John Hundt and brother, Edward Risley, Jr.. Mrs. Hundt worked as a medical assistant in the offices of Dr. Charles Hawkins. She was a charter member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and was very active in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML). She volunteered many years with the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was an avid artist specializing in oil paintings.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen A. Hundt (Rick Brines), son, Victor Hundt (Sue), two grandchildren: Kristin Brady (Chris) and John Allen Hundt, four great grandchildren: Devin Brady, Tiffany Brady, Kaylin Brady and Shelby Brady, step grandchild Hayley Ogrodowczyk (Scott), step great grandchildren Brooke Ogrodowczyk and Cale Ogrodowczyk.
Memorial services will be held 12:00 pm Monday, July 21, 2014, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor Christopher Sheets officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3-7 Sunday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home
