Paula L. Carlisle

Mrs. Carlisle was born in Norfolk, Virginia and graduated from Carol City High School in Miami, Florida. She was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church where she enjoyed volunteering in the nursery. She was a teacher’s aide at McBrien and Eastside Elementary Schools where she also worked at the before and after-school care programs. Paula will always be remembered as a good wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul J. Smith and brother, Chris Smith.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, David R. Carlisle II; daughters, Becky (Lance) Bumgardner and Beth (Jarrid) Rowe; grandchildren, Story, Sage and McKenna; mother, Willie Smith; brother, Bill (Andrea) Smith and their son, Jonathan; sister-in-law, Melody Smith and son, Zach; and best friend, Sarah Aslinger.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday and 10 AM to 2 PM on Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be at 11:30 AM on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
