Mrs. Polly Jean Fella

She was of the Baptist faith and loved all her children and grandchildren. She lived life to its fullest, having fun and laughing with those she so dearly loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo “Tony” Fella, her parents, Matilda Cordell Howard and Wilburn Jasper Howard, her 3 sisters, Doni McCormick; Ruth Farmer; and Ann Laura Green, her 3 brothers, Cordell Howard; Raymond Howard; and Kelly Howard, a grandson, Michael Hughes, and a son-in-law, James Dunwoody.

Left behind to cherish Polly’s memory are her 4 daughters, Peggy Reed (Adam); Mary Bilbao (Steve); Linda Dunwoody; and Laura Morgan, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Polly’s Life will be held on Tuesday August 5th at 1:00 pm at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Hospice Chaplain Scott McMillan officiating. The family will receive friends Monday August 4th from 4-8 pm. She will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Angelo in the Chattanooga Memorial Park following the service.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice of Georgia for their compassionate care and for to her live-in caregivers, Peggy Reed, Brandis Whaley, Jessica Washington, and Mary Bilbao.
