Reba Morgan Davenport, 89, of Rising Fawn, Georgia, passed away on January 15, 2015 at her home. She was one of four children born to Horace Lester Morgan and Addie Boyd Morgan of Riceville, Tennessee, who preceded her in death. At an early age Reba left McMinn County and moved to Chattanooga in search of a job. At work and later in church she met her future husband, John Davenport. They married in 1946 and had a son David and daughter Suzanne.
While her children were growing up she was very active in the church, school, Scouts, and community. Her love of books and reading, her love of all nature and God’s creatures, especially cats and her fine feathered friends the birds are the legacy she leaves to her daughter and son. Reba was a long time member of the Tyner Church of Christ and later Trenton Church of Christ. In later years Reba was cared for by her daughter and son-in-law (Suzanne and Larry) in their home.
Reba is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, John H. Davenport; grandson, Andrew John “Andy” Davenport; sister, Edna Morgan; brother, Ralph Morgan; brother, and sister-in-law Ernie and Vera Morgan; nephew, Ray Morgan; and many beloved pets.
She is survived by her son, David Davenport (Doris Ann) of Centralia, IL; daughter, Suzanne Bartel (Larry) of Rising Fawn, GA; granddaughter, Susan Davenport Lowrance (Casey) of Miami, FL.; great-grandsons, Oliver and Henry Lowrance; and sister-in-law, Laura Morgan of Athens, TN.

Funeral Services will follow at 1 PM on Monday at the funeral home with Minister John Cupp officiating.
Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
