Robert Lavoy Brackett, 82 of Chattanooga passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 at his home. He was a member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church and was retired as Captain from the Chattanooga Police Department. Mr. Brackett was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded by his parents, Homer and Marjorie Brackett; sister, Eva Jo Bradshaw; brother, Harry Allen Brackett.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Nina Joy Brackett; son, David (Debra) Brackett; grandson, Joseph (Jessica) Brackett; one sister, Becky Hedrick.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Monday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Jeff Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
