Sadie Quinn Long, 95, a resident of East Ridgeand widow of E. Marell Long died on Thursday, September 20, 2012. She was a long-time member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church and retired from Standard Coosa Thatcher Company after 25 years.
Survivors include nieces, Deany (Ken) Abernethy, Barbara (Bill) Partain, Martha (Ray) Redden and Cynthia (Jim) LaMarr; nephews, Dr. Summer (Mary) Mobley and Wendel Karr. She is also survived by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Sadie was preceded in death by her parents, James L. and Katie Carlisle Quinn; brothers, James Eugene Quinn and Robert “Bob” Quinn and sisters, Fannie Mae Quinn Sparrow and Katherine Quinn Mobley.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, September 24, 2012 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 S. Moore Road with the Rev. Larry Dial and the Rev. Mark Womack officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Ray Redden, Jeffrey Redden, Dustin Redden, Jason Edwards, Eddie Barker, Summer Mobley and Jim LaMarr serving as pallbearers.
