Shirley Louise McGuire

Shirley Louise McGuire, 84, of East Ridge, TN passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023. She was of the Baptist Faith. Shirley retired from Bellsouth as a customer service representative and had also worked for Capitol Wholesale Fence Company. She was a lifetime member of Pairs and Spares square dance club at Alamande Hall.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Jodey McGuire; parents, George Maurice and Sara Elizabeth Garrett Small; two sisters, Marceline Smith and Doris Whitfield.

Survivors include her two daughters, Teresa (David) Johnson and Sandra (Michael) Winters; seven grandchildren, Robert Bledsoe, Melissa Johnson, Christine Johnson, Kevin Scott Cooke, Jr., Dusty Winters, Celeste Dover and Clifton Donte Winters; four great-grandchildren; brother, Tommy (Kay) Small; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Heartlite Hospice, especially Travis Chapman, Jennifer Jones and Vickie.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Wayland Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
