Thelma Belle Keown Quinton

She was born February 15, 1925 in Chickamauga, Georgia to the late Leonard Leander & Dema Eugenia Bridges Keown.

She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Golden Gateway and the Challengers Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Quinton was retired form Baptist Book Store following many years of service.

Her husband, Alfred L. Quinton, brother, Robert Keown, and sister, Faye Tanner preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Philip (April) Quinton of Rossville, Georgia; two daughters, Sandra (James) Ward of Rossville, Georgia and Karen (Larry) Rushing of Grovetown, Georgia; one sister, Iva Rose of Chattanooga; six grandchildren, Chris (Mandi) Rushing of Orlando, Florida; Laura Rushing of Atlanta, Georgia; Julie Swinford of Rossville, Georgia, Toby Quinton of Chickamauga, Georgia, Ethan Quinton of Rossville, Georiga, and Claudia Radford of Rossville, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday August 1, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the East Chapel. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
