Victor Corder of Chattanooga passed away Friday, August 23, 2024. He was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church for 39 years. Mr. Corder was employed by American Electrical, Olin Conductors and Jack Cole Steel Drum. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor M. Corder, Sr. and Cora Sivley Corder; wife, Elsie McCurry Corder; brother, Granville Corder and sister, Martha Corder McCurdy.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda Corder; son, Steve (Marie) Corder; several nieces and nephews.
A faithful and devoted disciple of Christ, he is now with his savior and friend, Jesus. He will be forever missed by family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12 PM Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road. The family will receive friends from 10 – 12 Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Chattanooga; Pancreatic Cancer Association of Chattanooga or Parkinson Association of Chattanooga.
